Gold for Vets Winton Men’s Epée

The Veterans Winton Cup took place last weekend, an inter-regional competition across all 6 events.

The Southern Region Men’s Epée team defended the Cup they won last year; the team was composed of Alain and Philippe Barbasiewicz, Steve Bateman (all Reading) and Tim Stephens (Oxford).

They won 8 of their 9 matches (losing one just narrowly), tied with one other team, but their individual fight victory total was far ahead of the other teams. Al won 26/27 fights!
